WELL CEMENTING AND SEALING
The goal of installing an artesian well is to secure a good quality drinking water supply. That's why our boreholes are drilled to a sufficient depth so that the groundwater has had time to be filtered and decontaminated by the bedrock. In certain specific cases, regulations require additional protection to prevent water contamination, for example, if a septic tank is nearby.
To guarantee the quality of your water, Puits Christian Monette is authorized to perform the cementing and sealing of your well in the Laurentians and Lanaudière regions. Consult our well drillers by contacting us by phone to ensure your installation meets all applicable building codes.

WHAT IS WELL SEALING?
Cementing a well is required if it is too close to a septic tank (less than 30 meters), if your property is located in a flood zone, or if the bedrock is less than 5 meters below the surface. This is because surface water contains contaminants and bacteria that could directly contaminate your drinking water.
Our company installs a 10.5-foot cement and bentonite (clay) collar between the ground and your well casing, at a minimum depth of 5 meters. This sealing makes your well more watertight. We can perform this sealing during the well installation process or on an existing well. Don't risk your health: call on our certified well-sealing professionals.
